As design consultant for Stathis Antonakopoulos’ first New York restaurant, David and his team sought to create a unique and unforgettable experience.
The interior creates a different mood and atmosphere in each room, winding from casual to high style. Open ceilings and chandeliers define the distinct areas, from the street-facing espresso bar in front to the gastropub-meets-club-lounge, where the food is the host. Simple lines and subtle details intersect the unique personalities of the cuisine. Punctuations of artwork splash the banquettes, giving each a name and identity. The space at STIX presents a reprieve from heavier, traditional Mediterranean restaurants, bringing a clean and contemporary feel to Manhattan’s Gramercy-Flatiron district.
